The East of England Faculty for Advancing Practice would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your support with the National Education and Training Survey (NETs) but also to send a gentle reminder to encourage all advanced practice trainees to complete the survey. The National Education and Training Survey (NETS) is still open and will be available until 2 December.
The NETS feedback will help guide us on how best to improve advanced practice posts/placements, training, and the clinical learning environment.
NETS is open to all trainees and students working and training in healthcare across England.
The survey will offer NHSE advanced practice trainees the opportunity to comment on training and education and provide feedback on what is working well and what could be improved. The survey seeks invaluable insight about advanced practice trainees’ experience within learning environments/placements such as induction, supervision, facilities, and learning opportunities. Included in the survey are questions related to bullying and harassment, discrimination, sexual safety, wellbeing, and raising concerns.
NETS is anonymous and conducted once a year. The results are analysed by NHSE Quality Teams to ensure all concerns are identified, reviewed, and where appropriate, acted upon.
The information forms part of NHSE’s approach to monitoring of education and training posts/placements and will be used to ensure standards set in the Education Quality Framework are met.
The greater the level of participation, the better able to identify areas doing well and those that require improvement.
For more information or help with specific queries, please see NETS website and FAQs.
