Fundamental Skills for General Practice Assistants is a 36-week, part-time course that builds the knowledge and understanding you need to work as a safe, effective GPA. Funded by NHS England.
A part time programme that takes place online. GPA’s will carry out approximately three to four hours of learning per week, including live, online group discussion sessions, online activities, written work, and workplace-based tasks.
Halfway through the course, there will be an opportunity to join a hands-on, practical training session at Anglia Ruskin University’s Chelmsford campus.
The course enables you to contribute to a more effective working environment, for both staff and patients, via five key areas:
- Care
- Administration
- Clinical
- Communication
- Managing Health Records
*On successful completion of the GPA programme, your practice will receive a small financial contribution, in recognition of their support.
