Join members of the St Helena clinical team for a half-day session sharing knowledge and a wealth of experience on the subject of heart failure in palliative care.
This educational morning is suitable for all of those health care professionals working with persons who have a diagnosis of heart failure.
This session is informative and brings together Beata Kasznicka (specialty palliative care doctor) and a specialist community cardiology nursing team who will be sharing an overview of heart failure and their role in the community.
They will also explore the use of opioids for breathlessness, the value of advance care planning and palliation of symptoms. Julia Davey one of the registered nurses, will present on non-pharmacological approaches to management of breathlessness.
