The Suffolk GP Federation is providing Clinical Safety Officer Training (see below).
This training is relevant because any practice intending to use AI Scribes (such as Heidi AI or AccuRX Scribe) must complete the governance document DCB 0160, which requires approval from a qualified clinical safety officer for the practice.
The training aims to develop skills within practices and PCNs to support the adoption of AI scribes. It is expected that this requirement may be extended by the ICO in the future.
If you wish to train as a Clinical Safety Officer (CSO) you need to:
- Complete the online training module ‘Digital clinical safety: intermediate’ on NHSE elfh Hub.
- Attend a one-day face to face course. The Fed has booked the trainers to run this at the Holiday Inn Ipswich on Tuesday, 20 January 2026. If you wish to attend, you must have completed the online module (the trainers want certificates!).
To attend the face-to-face session on 20 January 2026 please email David Panell ([email protected]).
The Suffolk GP Federation’s Member Services are funding the day.
This is open to all practices in Suffolk and North East Essex and Norfolk and Waveney.
There are limited spaces available, so please book early!
