General Practice Assistant (GPA) – Recommended Training

East of England Health Education England are currently reviewing the accredited training route for the new GPA role.  We will contact PCNs and Practices as soon as further information is available on this.  In the meantime, we would strongly suggest that current and newly appointed GPAs undertake training and competency assessment outlined in the GPA Competency Framework, supported by GP mentors in PCNs and Practices as per the ARRS requirement.

To support this internal training, the SNEE Training Hub’s rolling training programmes have a range of clinical and non-clinical courses that will provide key skills and learning.
