International Nurses’ Day

Each year on the 12th May, International Nurses’ day is celebrated.

The Training Hub Team would like to take this opportunity to celebrate and give thanks to all our incredible nurses who work so hard in General Practice across Suffolk and North East Essex.

This year the International Council of Nurses (ICN) have announced the theme as “The Economic power of care”, to highlight the need for nursing to be seen as an investment instead of a cost and to raise the profile of underfunding in nursing.

Here in the Training Hub, we support this and try our best to ensure nurses have access to the education and training they need to perform at their best in their roles, develop their career, and increase wellbeing and resilience.

We are delighted to announce an update on the Nursing Network Forums across our three alliance areas. These are led by Mark Pears in Ipswich and East Suffolk, Emma Williamson in West Suffolk, and Sally Moy in North East Essex. The Nursing Network Forums are an opportunity for members of the nursing team to come together, to share best practice and learn. Mark, Emma, and Sally are developing a series of engaging and highly relevant education events, as well as offering group clinical supervision and support.

These networking forums will be held throughout the year and will be bookable via the Training Hub website.

To be added to our mailing list to find out details of the Nursing Network Forums, please email [email protected] and state your role and which practice you work at
