New Primary Care Wound Education Series

Healthcare professionals working within primary care are invited to take part in the new Primary Care Wound Education Series: Assess, Prepare, Treat, a virtual educational programme running from September to December 2026.

The series has been developed to support clinicians in enhancing their knowledge and confidence in wound assessment, wound bed preparation, infection management, and treatment approaches.

Delivered through a partnership between the East of England Community Health & Care Tissue Viability Service, Coloplast, Smith & Nephew, and Essity, the programme focuses on evidence-based, simplified wound care and its role in improving patient healing outcomes.

Participants will explore how effective assessment and wound preparation can positively influence recovery, including in patients with long-standing or static wounds.

The virtual series will cover four key areas:

  • Assessment
  • Preparation
  • Infection
  • Treatment

Each session is designed to provide practical learning that can be applied directly within primary care settings, supporting clinicians to deliver high-quality wound care and improve patient outcomes.

Healthcare professionals wishing to attend can register via the QR code provided within the promotional materials and will receive further details and joining instructions.
