Language and Intercultural Communication Training for Healthcare Professionals

The University Language programme is interested in understanding what issues, barriers and challenges healthcare practitioners are experiencing in relation to language and communication, with patients and colleagues, and what sort of training you would be keen to take to reduce these challenges.

With an understanding of the requirements, we hope to develop an offering of bespoke courses to healthcare practitioners. Please note that we are not trying to replace public-service interpreters.

Their role is invaluable and goes much beyond the scope of the training we are hoping to develop.

Would you mind taking 5 minutes to answer the questionnaire you will find here by 31st July 2025.
